THYSOL Group B.V. teamed up with veterinary professionals to develop VetkinTape® — a kinesiology tape made specifically for animals.
How VetkinTape® Came to Be
VetkinTape® was developed by THYSOL Group B.V. together with a specialised production facility and partners with experience in both human and veterinary taping. Research and development in Seoul, Korea also played an important role in creating a tape specifically for animals.
Taping animals is different from taping people. Their skin, coat, muscles, movement and anatomy all affect how a tape needs to work. These differences were taken into account during the development of VetkinTape®, resulting in a kinesiology tape made specifically for veterinary use.
Built With the Animal in Mind
Every animal is different, so we looked closely at the factors that set veterinary application apart from human use:

A different coat/skin type and sensitivity compared to humans.
Muscle structure
Muscle build-up that differs strongly across species.
Anatomy
Anatomical differences that call for their own approach to taping.
The result, VetkinTape®, is a tape with an outstanding adhesive acrylic layer that provides maximum results for the veterinary market.
Mission
The mission of VetkinTape® is to develop and market veterinary kinesiology tape, and to educate animal physiotherapists and veterinary professionals in the different application areas and taping techniques.
Our primary goal is to improve the condition of the animal’s body. To achieve this, VetkinTape® provides a range of medical tapes, tools and medical equipment to support, improve and stimulate the movement of all parts of the animal’s body.
VetkinTape® is constantly searching for innovative new methods and ways to treat the ‘immovability’ of animals, without the use of chemical substances (e.g. pharmaceuticals, medicine).
